Yummy factor: In case you’re wondering why Yvonne prepped two cakes for her husband Alex Tien’s star-studded birthday party (we spot singers Fish Leong, Jam Hsiao and actor Xiu Jie Kai), it’s because she wanted to have a Plan B — just in case her sushi “cake” didn’t work out. Safe to say, she aced both versions, and the basketball-themed one was done at night while the kids and Alex were sleeping — it must’ve taken ages to pipe the cream!

Yummy factor: Fiona’s lunch at the swanky Mott 32 at Marina Bay Sands was a decadent affair. Aside from the signature Smoked Black Cod and Apple Wood Roasted Peking Duck, there were the usual suspects like siu mai, but with a luxe twist — think Iberico pork, quail eggs and truffle.

What she ate: Meringue passionfruit cake

Yummy factor: While an apple a day keeps the doc away for some, cake does the trick for Andrea. Well, who wouldn’t be motivated to get well soon with such an enticing dessert in front of them? Coated with torched meringue and featuring charcoal sponge cake as well as vodka passionfruit jelly, the creation in question is from online bakery, Fork It, which both Andrea and hubby Pierre Png are huge fans of.

What she ate: Fusion Japanese

Yummy factor: Xiuhuan got creative in the kitchen with her Chinese-Japanese fusion dishes — think sashimi cake, unagi cake, and abalone char siew ramen with perfectly executed ajitsuke tamago (marinated soft-boiled eggs). And dessert was bird’s nest in young coconuts and infused with the aroma of pandan. Mmm...

What he ate: Homemade feast

Yummy factor: Aside from plenty of cake, Pierre and Andrea (aka the caveman and his woman) tucked into meaty ribs (good for two!), a hearty shepherd's pie and lots of homemade bread. As sinful as that sounds, at least there were fresh greens to balance things out?

What he ate: Wanton mee

Yummy factor: Could it be an occupational hazard to suss out old but gold hidden gems? Gurmit, who used to host popular food series Makan Places: Lost and Found, had a most nostalgic bowl of wanton mee at Laifabar, where the recipe belongs to the chef’s grandma. Couple that with fried dumplings and old-school style ngoh hiang and he’s on his way to foodie heaven.

What they ate: Omakase lunch

Yummy factor: With menu items like creamy uni wrapped in crisp seaweed to decadent sushi topped with sashimi and caviar, it’s safe to say that Terence and Lawrence most definitely enjoyed their omakase lunch which was whipped up by a private chef at their studio.

What he ate: Massive satay

Yummy factor: When it comes to satay, it seems like bigger is better at Chope Chope Eatery, a casual resto in Taiwan serving up Singaporean staples. It seems like JJ was a little overwhelmed by the kebab-sized satay skewer, but we’re pretty sure he managed to polish it off with some help from the peanut gravy. 

What she ate: Dim sum at Spring Court

Yummy factor: Ferlyn had a dim sum feast, where she indulged in everything from har gao to cheong fun and char siew bao. Of course, fried XO carrot cake and juicy xiao long bao are also a must.

What they ate: Brunch fare

Yummy factor: Yifeng probably took the chance to reward herself with a carb-heavy meal for her consistent exercise routine during brunch with Vivian at PS.Cafe — think pasta, truffle shoestring fries, and a yummy crab tart.

What she ate: Korean must-haves

Yummy factor: Bonnie loves her Korean food as much as she adores her oppas, and her meal at Two Cranes certainly satisfied her cravings for piping hot Korean army stew, jajangmyeon and juicy fried wings. Well, as sinful as it sounds, at least she had some hot tea to wash it all down.

What she ate: Smoothie bowl

Yummy factor: Nurul got the Dewi bowl from Mona Bar, and we love how it’s full of wholesome ingredients like its puréed mango base, passionfruit, strawberries, chia seeds and more — perfect as a mid-work snack.

What she ate: Garlic knot

Yummy factor: Michelle put together her own aromatic garlic knot with plenty of fresh parsley, melted butter, chopped garlic kneaded into pizza dough, and the result looks sinfully delicious. Can we have the recipe, please?

What she ate: Minion potatoes

Yummy factor: The highlight of Evelyn’s meal at McDonald’s had to be the Minion potatoes. Even though her fiancé thinks it’s expensive, the YES 933 DJ can have whatever she wants — even if it’s overpriced (but adorable) Minion-shaped tater tots.

What she ate: Sourdough loaf

Yummy factor: All it takes is some flour, water and salt, as well as Fann’s baking ingenuity, to create this perfect loaf of sourdough with a crisp outer layer and chewy-soft centre. We don’t know about you, but we’re already thinking of all the yummy dishes possible with the bread.

Yummy factor: According to Jade, the Belgium waffles she had with ice cream at Kingdom of Belgians were really yummy. And they aren’t all that big either, so you can afford to have two if you’re feeling ravenous (or just greedy).

Yummy factor: The Chen family took a break and booked a staycation at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa, and their brekkie spread was amazing. Think scrambled eggs, mashed avocado and omelette, crisp toast, assorted pastries, and more.
