What she ate: Late-night supper

Yummy factor: Cheryl and her hubby Roy Fong relived their university days by driving to the east — Bedok 85 Fengshan Market, to be exact — for some late-night feasting. We’re talking grilled chicken wings, fried carrot cake, sambal stingray, and even tang yuan for dessert. And while the bak chor mee wasn’t as good as they remembered it to be ("the noodles taste like al dante ramen"), “supper is still supper”, in Cheryl’s own words.

What she ate: Hearty breakfast

Yummy factor: It was a good morning alright for Constance, who had nasi lemak for breakfast in the fanciest of settings – al fresco dining at Raffles Hotel, along with fluffy omelette, bacon and sausages, as well as a hotel-exclusive Singapore Sling tea. What a treat.

What she ate: Coriander salad at Yakiniku Don-Don 1st

Yummy factor: You’ll either love or baulk at Ya Hui’s coriander salad. Well, clearly Ya Hui is a fan of the polarising ingredient — she had hers fresh and tossed with Japanese sesame sauce and crushed nuts for added flavour and texture. Yum!

What she ate: Thai food

Yummy factor: Armed with a friend's recommendation, Gini managed to find food that was aroy mak mak at a Thai restaurant in the Tanjong Pagar area — think Thai red curry served on a mini stove, pandan chicken and pad thai with a squeeze of lemon.

What they ate: Comforting soup dishes

Yummy factor: Lunch at Beauty World Centre for the bosom buddies after one of their regular hikes was a comforting combination of fish soup bee hoon and peppery pig stomach mee sua, and crispy fried Korean dumplings for dessert. 

What she ate: Chee cheong fun

Yummy factor: Call it #FOMO if you'd like, but Yvonne, who's  in Taiwan, wasn't going to let distance get in the way of her having a bite of chee cheong fun. Never mind that she wasn't able to get hold of Ben Yeo’s SGCCF — Yvonne decided to make her own succulent rolls stuffed with char siew, chopped spring onions and her own homemade sauce.

What she ate: Black pepper crab

Yummy factor: What makes you happy? For Jamie, it's tucking into lip-smacking black pepper crab at Long Beach Seafood.  Hope she ordered a side of mantou to mop up the peppery, addictive gravy. 

What she ate: Homemade pie

Yummy factor: Vernetta has been busy baking the perfect pie, and she may just have nailed it with her latest creation. Filled with what looks like minced beef and sealed with hot water crust pastry, it sure looks juicy within.

What he ate:  Roast meats

Yummy factor: Jeffrey may have moved away from his previous estate, but there’s nothing quite like the taste of nostalgia — especially when the hawkers at your usual food stalls still remember your preferences — iced lemon tea and char siew with roast chicken, and a braised egg on the side. They even refused to let him pay.

What they ate: Salmon pasta

Yummy factor: It may have been past 11pm, but that didn’t stop Cynthia and Patricia from ordering the full works after long day of physical activities — mushroom soup for two, chicken karaage, a most enticing salmon angel hair pasta and what looks like mini quiches. Well, who’s counting calories?

What she ate: Nourishing eats 

Yummy factor: Fann tucked into a nourishing meal at Crystal Jade, where she enjoyed delicacies like braised fish maw with hairy crab paper hotpot, pan-seared razor clam, and charcoal-grilled sea cucumber. The highlight has got to be the decadent and comforting claypot rice that features foie gras and Iberico pork.
 

What he ate: Satay

Yummy factor: Patrons of Lau Pa Sat last Saturday may have noticed Elvin dining al fresco at a roadside table and munching on grilled prawns, copious amounts of satay and ketupat with peanut sauce. Talk about the perfect weekend supper.

What she ate: Unagi tic-tac-toe

Yummy factor: Yup, you read it right — aside from the oft-seen (but delish!) sushi cake and overflowing chirashi-don, Xiuhuan was inspired to whip up a tic-tac-toe game board  with chunks of grilled eek and omelette strips. And while we can't vouch for its taste, Xiuhuan gets brownie points for culinary creativity from us.

What he ate: Cakes galore

Yummy factor: With gatherings still limited to groups of five at a time, Nanxing's celeb friends still managed to make things work for Nanxing's birthday by visiting in small groups. The birthday boy received at least six cakes, including a nature-themed one from Fann, and a savoury nasi lemak creation.

What she ate: Yoghurt parfait

Yummy factor: Although it has been a busy week filled with endless to-dos for Jade, at least she got to breathe a little and indulge in a hearty yoghurt and fruit parfait, as well as a cuppa.

​​​​​​​What she ate: Squid ink pasta

Yummy factor: Jiahui met up with her best friend for a long-overdue Italian dinner to catch up, and she opted to have one of her all-time favourites — squid ink pasta topped with buttery uni. Of course, dessert with ice cream is always a must too!

What she ate: Truffle ice-cream

Yummy factor: Thanks to her friend, Patricia got her fix of standard vanilla ice-cream served with generous portions of an unusual topping — freshly-shaved white truffle. How decadent is that?

What she ate: Mookata

Yummy factor: Considering how she was on a long hike before dinner, it’s no wonder she had the appetite for plenty of food at 888 Mookata — think grilled meats, Thai fish cake, instant noodles, and more. 

 What he ate: Mango dessert

Yummy factor: Pornsak couldn't be happier to celebrate the weekend with a refreshing mango bingsu from Ren Ren Desserts — we love how juicy the cubed mangoes look atop the shaved ice.

What she ate: Fancy toast

Yummy factor: Who says you can’t have a fancy brekkie in the comforts of your own balcony? Belinda did just that with her hubby David Moore, and both of them indulged in toast topped with truffle honey-baked ham omelette. And for Belinda, brown sugar sprinkles on her foamy cappuccino made her day.

What she ate: Home-cooked food

Yummy factor: Thanks to her hair stylist, who fixed her hair, Kym got to cook what would have been a regular dinner at home in style. Plus, a happier chef makes for more delicious food right? It's evident in the stir-fried veggies with prawns, as well as the meat dish she did.

What she ate: Grain bowl

Yummy factor: Eating clean may feel good, but being mistaken as a student and getting a discount for your grain bowl probably feels more shiok. It’s no wonder Evelyn can’t help but smile from ear to ear — she’s probably never felt happier munching on spinach, olives and pumpkin!
