Yummy factor: Both Huifang and Xiuhuan visited Jin Yinji and were treated to a lavish spread — think Korean fish cakes, fried goodies, kimchi, as well as Jin jie's popular homemade dumplings which come stuffed with lucky coins. And looks like the Year of the Ox is set to be an ox-picious one for Xiuhuan who bit into one on her first try.

What they ate: CNY feast

Yummy factor: For CNY, Nanxing impressed his celeb friends — Christopher Lee, Fann Wong, and Rayson Tan — with his homemade crispy suckling pig, truffle-infused hae bee hiam noodles, and charred brussel sprouts. Safe to say, they probably had an ox-cellent time pigging out at Ah Ge’s place.

What he ate: Rabbit fish

Yummy factor: Although Desmond didn’t get to eat his favourite rabbit fish at his friend’s place this year, his mum decided to surprise him by cooking the seasonal special for him at home. Made with lots of love, we bet the steamed dish tasted even yummier.

What she ate: Bak kwa tea cake

Yummy factor: Jeanette got creative and baked her own interpretation of CNY treats — bak kwa tea cakes. Think bite-sized tea cakes with a touch of bak kwa-infused cream and a tiny square of barbecued meat jerky for extra flavour. What they ate: Fried dumplings

Yummy factor: Stefanie and JJ got together to make dumplings from scratch and while they were "very disastrous" in the kitchen (JJ's thick-skinned dumplings resembled curry puffs and Stef's disapproving look says it all), the slightly chao tar jiao zi turned out "juicy and crispy". Well, taste is all that matters isn't it?

What she ate: Truffle bak kwa

Yummy factor: You may have had bak kwa, but have you had truffle bak kwa? Infused with French black truffle for an irresistibly smokey and earthy flavour, the premium treat from online store Direct To Masses is priced at a whopping $188 for 300g worth of grilled pork shoulder. It's so atas, no wonder Ah Jie is eating it with chopsticks.

What they ate: Birthday lunch

Yummy factor: The Queen co-stars had a long overdue catch-up over brunch fare and champagne at Wildseed Cafe, and made sure to throw a surprise birthday celebration for Jesseca, who turned 42 on Feb 13. We can’t help but notice how the ladies have all glowed up since.

Yummy factor: It seems like Alan’s on a mission to savour the best dishes in Singapore — his most recent one being the popular beef hor fun from Geylang Lorong 9. Watching him slurp up the silky hor fun and tender beef has us craving for a deliciously gooey plate of our own right now.

What they ate: Valentine's Day dinner 

Yummy factor: After a busy day visiting relatives and making Valentines with the kiddos, Joanne and Yuwu finally got to sneak out for a bit to have an adults-only dinner. And dessert looked like it’d make for an explosion of flavours, with ingredients like berries, ice cream, chocolate balls, biscuit crumbs, and whipped cream.

Yummy factor: With all the heavy meals we’ve been having over the festive period, a light snack can make for a refreshing change. And it seems like Elvin agrees — his brekkie was a simple yet oh-so-fragrant slice of pandan chiffon cake from e-bakery, Mad About Pandan.

What she ate: Jelly cake 

Yummy factor: Huifang was clearly impressed with Fann Wong’s gift to her — a 3D jelly cake featuring hyper-realistic blossoms and auspicious greetings in the loveliest of pinks. And according to Huifang, not only did the agar agar creation look great, it was delicious too.

What they ate: Korean nosh

Yummy factor: Foodies Pornsak, Michelle, as well as celeb hairstylist Addy Lee must have been really famished. Not only did the trio order a Korean army stew to share, they also had plenty of sides like braised pork trotter, stir-fried chicken feet, spicy tteokbokki, grilled beef ribs, and more. That's not all. After dinner, they adjourned for dessert where they had ice cream and waffles. 

What she ate: Pineapple cheesecake

Yummy factor: Mei Xin couldn’t get over how crunchy and delish the almond and pecan toffee from online bakery Ree and Mummy were... As well as their huat-tastic pineapple cheesecake, which boasts bits of the tangy fruit with every creamy bite.

What she ate: Claypot fish

Yummy factor: From fresh fish cooked à la minute in a claypot in front of them to crispy soft shell crab (her fave dish!) and fried mao shan wang ice cream, looks like the Chens had an enjoyable time dining under the stars at Jing Seafood Restaurant.

What he ate: Jianbing guozi from Wen Jia Bao at Pearl Centre

Yummy factor: Shane couldn't help but wolf down his jianbing guozi with relish — after all, it’s been a while since he had the Chinese-style street snack. And in case you’re wondering, jianbing guozi is a kind of Chinese-style crepe roll slathered in sweet or chilli sauce, and stuffed full with crunchy vegetables.

What he ate: Fruit yusheng

Yummy factor: Instead of the usual yusheng, Thomas opted for something fruity and healthier instead. We spot strawberries, dragon fruit, kiwis, pomelo, mangoes, and more in his refreshing mix.

Yummy factor: Bonnie spent her me-time journaling and indulging her sweet tooth with a slice of Basque burnt cheesecake, made all the more tempting with a dollop of fresh cream, sliced strawberries and chocolate sauce drizzle.

What she ate: Liu sha bao

Yummy factor: From Imperial Treasure’s yusheng and molten liu sha baos to yuzu citron sweets from the famed Michalak Paris, Sharon certainly had no lack of yummy treats to indulge in for the Lunar New Year.

What they ate: Steamboat

Yummy factor: The starlets got together for a sumptuous yuan yang steamboat spread, and they had just about every comfort hotpot ingredient you can think of — fish balls, pork belly, dumplings, sausages, mushrooms and more.

What she ate: Waffles with ice-cream

Yummy factor: Valentine's Day ended on a sugary high note for Jade at ice-cream parlour Haute&Cauld, where she polished off a stack of crisp buttermilk waffles with two scoops of ice cream. And if we had to harbour a guess, it looks like the Cookie Monster flavour was one of her choices.

What she ate: Egg toastie

Yummy factor: Vivian probably decided to have a lighter lunch, and went for one of the egg-toasties from her boba tea store, Teabrary. Nonetheless, it looks hearty enough with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and fluffy omelette sandwiched in between thick slices of  freshly-toasted bread.

What she ate: Fresh oysters

Yummy factor: Freshly-shucked oysters, anyone? With everyone indulging in seafood the past week, Eelyn jumped on the bandwagon and treated herself to a taste of the ocean — in the form of plump, juicy oysters. A squeeze of lemon and dash of hot sauce is all she’ll need to complete the indulgence.
