Yummy factor: Thomas got busy in the kitchen making nam yu sio bak, or roast pork belly marinated with fermented bean curd, from scratch. The end result looked so yummy that Terence Cao called him a culinary God (might have been the #SaltBae moment), and Zhang Yaodong chimed in to ask if he’s taking in orders.

What she ate: Shiromaru Motoaji ramen at Ippudo

Yummy factor: Cynthia checked out Ippudo's new outlet at Raffles City yesterday (Aug 13) and was surprised with a bowl of their signature creamy tonkotsu ramen whipped up by Ah Ge Li Nanxing himself (lucky girl!). She liked it so much, she got herself a ramen kit which comes complete with pork belly chashu slices and marinated black fungus.

Yummy factor: A trip to Golden Mile Complex saw Ferlyn tucking into what the area is known for — authentic Thai eats. From green curry to steamed fish piled high with herbs and chillies, every dish served was bigger than Ferlyn’s face — talk about eating your money’s worth!

​​​​​​​What she ate: Local eats, including her favourite nasi lemak

Yummy factor: From char kway teow to Hokkien mee and a supersized nasi lemak platter with muar otah, that there’s probably nothing the fab mama can’t whip up. Safe to say, Xiuhuan spared no expense in making her family’s National Day dinner a memorable one.

What he ate: Snoopy-themed pancakes

Yummy factor: Thank goodness Zed Zed got over his health scare! He’s back in action and looks like a real natural at whipping up fluffy petite pancakes with his new Bruno machine, with Peanutes cartoon characters' mugs imprinted on them to boot.

What they ate: Anniversary sweets

Yummy factor: Awww.. Has it already been three years since Jesseca and Jeremy tied the knot? The lovebirds celebrated their third ROM anniversary on National Day (Aug 9), and there was plenty of fudgey chocolate cake to go round.

What she ate: Singa-Pocky

Yummy factor: Michelle got creative and made her own version of Pocky — jumbo biscuit sticks coated with white chocolate and red heart-shaped sprinkles — to celebrate the nation’s birthday. The best part is, you can change up the toppings for different occasions. Recipe on her Instagram page.

What she ate: Afternoon tea

Yummy factor: Jacelyn’s son, Zavier Wong, got to spend time with both his daddy and mummy at the swanky 10 Scotts, where the decadent buffet featured interesting items such as toasted crumpets with caviar, lobster bisque and gold Moscato oolong tea to wash it all down. Yum.

What she ate: Fresh berry confection

Yummy factor: Could this be Jeanette’s newest hit? At first glance, this Fraisier cake that she baked for Sharon Au's birthday (Aug 13) looks like a regular — albeit gorgeous — confection topped with fresh strawberries and raspberries. But as a special treat, Jeanette revealed that she added a custom-made liqueur for enhanced flavour.

​​​​​​​What she ate: Omakase at Shiraishi restaurant

Yummy factor: Shiraishi’s chef-boss was pleasantly surprised by Apple’s huge appetite at the Japanese resto. Well, we would have room for more too if we were served plenty of sushi, fresh sashimi, uni and more!

What they ate: Singaporean faves

Yummy factor: Although JJ and Tanya weren’t able to celebrate National Day back in Singapore, they managed to get together in Taiwan for a taste of home at the former's cafe Miracle Coffee. Think an all-out local feast of nasi lemak, char kway teow, bak kut teh, kaya toast, and even Milo Dinosaur.

What he ate: Peanut butter toast

Yummy factor: What was meant to be a simple interview with 987 DJs Gerald Koh and Kimberly Wang turned out to be a race against time as the Star Search 2019 champ ransacked his house for ingredients to make his favourite breakfast — toast with eggs. He may have messed up the soft boiled eggs, but at least his peanut butter toast looks legit.

What he ate: Fried carrot cake

Yummy factor: In the spirit of National Day, Ben fried up his favourite local dish, chai tow kway, to commemorate the festive occasion. And although he served it in a modern ong lai plate, we must say that it looks like it’s got plenty of old-school wok hei!

What she ate: Ondeh ondeh cakes

Yummy factor: Yvonne has been on a baking frenzy for celebratory ondeh ondeh cakes — including one for Singapore’s birthday — with every creation prettier than the next. Who else thinks Yvonne should seriously consider opening her own bakery?

What they ate: Uniquely-flavoured scones

Yummy factor: Hazelle and Evelyn had a girls’ day out at Korean autumn-themed cafe Kreams, where they shared plenty of scones and cream between them. The flavours they got were pretty unusual too — think Dalgona coffee, sweet potato and — Evelyn's favourite — cranberry.

What she ate: Barbecue chicken pizza

Yummy factor: Never mind that each slice of the pizza Sora had at Wheelers Estate contains 220 calories (yes, she's been obsessed with counting calories recently) — with all that mozzarella and the perfect thin crust, the Aussie-inspired pizza looks like it's worth it.

What she ate: Homemade pesto 

Yummy factor: A bumper crop of Thai basil from her mini home garden made for a great opportunity to turn the fresh harvest into a jar of Thai-inspired pesto — Jamie paired the tasty concoction with fresh vegetables and chicken breast as a healthy meal for the kids.

Yummy factor: If Jade isn’t having bak chor mee for breakfast, she’s probably having a quintessential Singaporean breakfast of kaya toast with soft boiled eggs at Ya Kun. And no kopi for her please, Milo is love.

​​​​​​​What she ate: Brunch fare

Yummy factor: Vivian believes in making lunch a priority — and rightly so! All she needs is an iced latte, truffle fries and eggs with toast and sausages and she’s good to go for the rest of the day.

Yummy factor: The gorgeous duo met for a Japanese sukiyaki dinner date and had their fill of beef shabu shabu — with plenty of vegetables to balance the meal, of course.
