Carrie Wong Locked Herself In Her Room And Didn’t Eat Or Drink When Her Leaked DMs Scandal Went Viral

Remember last May, when a video leak of explicit Instagram DMs between Ian Fang and Carrie Wong made headlines for weeks? While Singapore has since moved on from the scandal, it's still the elephant in the room when it comes to the young stars, who both declared that they would no longer comment on the matter after lodging police reports.

It seems like enough time has passed — 15 months, to be exact — as Carrie opened up (well, at least as much as she allowed herself to) about the scandal on the latest episode of Quan Yifeng’s talk show Hear U Out. The 26-year-old actress, who can now be seen in Mediacorp drama A Quest To Heal, broke down a number of times while talking about the reputation-damaging incident, which also involved Ian's rumoured girlfriend Rebecca Lim and Carrie's boyfriend Boris Lin, though there was no mention of them or Ian during her chat with Yifeng. (Yes, even when Carrie was asked about the current status of her love life.)

It all started when Quan Yifeng broached the topic of Carrie "experiencing one of [her] biggest scandals last year". The actress then said, with tears welling up in her eyes, “Everyone in Singapore knew what happened. I think that the most important thing is to face it. You can only move on if you confront the issue, so... it's not easy.”
