Strange but true — we just had a $642 facial while lying in a bubble tent filled with pure oxygen. The extravagant treatment, by Spanish luxury skincare brand Natura Bissé, is called the Diamond Life Infusion Ritual. In the pic you see above, the bubble tent and its metropolitan paradise surrounds look super posh, but our reality was slightly less… Hollywood. Apt as this a treatment apparently offered to A-listers at the Oscars and Golden Globe Awards. In Singapore, the special 90-minute session at Adeva Spa, offered only to the media and the spa’s VIP customers, is done inside a bubble tent filled with 99.99 per cent pure oxygen. But instead of a transparent bubble tent in La La Land, we get an opaque tent in one of the spa’s treatment rooms in Paragon Shopping Centre. Still, it’s ever so comfy getting a facial on a Tempur bed, designed to evenly distribute the pressure on your body. The gentle hum of fresh oxygen being pumped into the tent is comforting. It does feel easier to breathe in here. A cheerful therapist cleanses our face before doing a facial massage with a Diamond Experience Magnet Massager to promote microcirculation and soothe inflammation. After a slightly tingly skin peel, which brightened our skin, the therapist places a futuristic-looking Chromo-Rejuvenating LED mask — which wouldn’t look out of place at a cosplay convention — on our face. It serves to boost collagen production and banish acne-causing bacteria using LED light therapy. The therapist rounds things off by applying another Diamond Experience Youth Infusion Bio-Mask, which is said to contain a blend of diamond dust, gold and pearls to rejuvenate the skin. Our complexion is noticeably perkier and brighter after the treatment. Celebs' anti-ageing beauty hack which claims to turn back the clock? Yes, please.
