Just when you thought she couldn't get any cooler (or more out there), Cynthia Chua tells us she has leveled up. Her current favourite way to chill out is not a massage, or yoga, or meditation. It's... doing nothing. She says, "I'm always travelling between Singapore and Paris and also to all sorts of different places, and because my life is so hectic and I've been so busy for so long, the concept of doing nothing really appeals to me now. I used to find it very hard to relax when I don’t have an agenda, but now, I love a day where I don’t know what’s going to happen, and I have all the free time in the world. Yeah, so doing nothing is really the best way to chill out. It’s like you’ve been there done that, and now you just wanna do nothing!"
Um, so should we just sit there and stare into space? Cynthia tells us, "It’s not good to pack your meetings back to back. You need some time in between. Every two hours, you should have half an hour or or a one hour break. You actually get more productive that way. And no, don’t look at your phone. Free your mind, don’t check your phone. Just do nothing. There are so many thoughts in your head, and sometimes something will come up. The best is when you do nothing and something happens."
But fear not, Cynthia hasn't really been doing 24 hours of nothing. In between clearing her headspace by scheduling "nothing" in her day, she's managed to come up with a brand new concept for her Spa Esprit wellness empire — the Super Vibrator treatment. Super what? Yeah, read on.
