There are a few ways to figure out your travel plans for the year. Some folks prefer to maximise long weekends, others may scroll for wanderlust inspo on social media. And now that Chinese New Year is just around the corner, there are those who want to do things a little differently. In fact, Emirates has teamed up with Way Fengshui’s Grand Master Tan Khoon Yong to come up with a fun fengshui travel guide for you to plan your year of vacays.

Before we dive into the individual zodiac predictions, you’ll want to circle April, September and November on your calendars. According to Grand Master Tan, these are the most auspicious months for travel for all 12 Chinese zodiacs. But those born in the year of the Rat and Horse should take more precautions for smooth travels.

If you’re travelling over CNY but still want to get into the huat mood, Emirates is serving up a range of festive sweet treats across all classes on flights to Singapore from Dubai between Jan 23 and 31 — red velvet and lychee mousse on Economy, and red velvet and lychee cake on Business and First Class. In addition, Business Class travellers flying between Singapore and Dubai will receive a custom Emirates red packet with two chocolate gold coins, while First Class travellers will also receive a festive goodie basket.

Herewith, travel predictions from a fengshui master for the Year of the Rat. And unlike the inflight desserts, you may or may not want to take this with a pinch of salt.
