Really Cool Airlines Is A New Thai Carrier That’s Launching An S$8,000 Membership Program. What Perks Do Really Cool Members Enjoy?

Really Cool Airlines, which is really the name of a soon-to-be-launched Thai carrier, will commence flying in the first quarter of 2024. Singapore is expected to feature in its initial routes, alongside Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, while European routes are expected to be added the following year. This was announced at a press conference yesterday (May 22) by its CEO Patee Sarasin.

In the meantime, the airline will launch the ReallyCool Us Digital Membership, “the world's first membership programme in the airline industry”, according to Mr Sarasin, who is the former chief executive of Thai low-cost carrier Nok Air.

The airline has rolled out a limited offer on memberships known as The Legendary Series. For US$6,000 (S$8,073) a pop, the membership comes with US$15,000 (S$20,182) worth of discounts and benefits, according to the airline.

Membership benefits include:

• Two free Super Cool seats (that’s the airline’s equivalent of Business Class seats) to any destination that the airline flies to, with no expiration date.
• Two 50 per cent off vouchers when buying return Super Cool seats, available for any destination in the airline’s network. This benefit is awarded every year for life.
• Two free upgrades to Super Cool seats when buying return Cool Seats (Economy) to any destination in the network. Again, this benefit is renewed every year for life.
• Surprise discounts from partners, including free hotel stays, airport transfers and car rentals.

Will you really be getting more bang for buck? While airfares on Really Cool Airlines have not yet been revealed, it was earlier announced that the airline will be midway between a luxury and budget carrier. Airfares will be estimated towards the end of this year after flight frequencies are confirmed, according to Mr Sarasin in response to 8Days.sg’s queries.
