Unique Airbnb In JB Looks Just Like An Airport & Plane; Prices From $85/Night For Aviation-Themed Stays
Fancy having an entire airport or an airplane all to yourself and travelling companions — in First Class, no less? For a fee of $85 per night, you can.
Okay, this is not a private jet, but an aviation-themed Airbnb in Johor Bahru. And you don’t even have to buy an actual air ticket to get there — it’s located just 10 minutes from the Causeway in JB's Country Garden Danga Bay apartment complex.
The two-bedroom apartment accommodates up to six pax and prices start from $85 per night. It's designed to look like the Boeing 777X plane, replete with actual plane seats, and even mocked up airport departure boards you'd see at airports. Turbulence not included.
The folks behind this quirky Airbnb, who have a second unit that is also designed with an aviation theme, are in the architectural and design fields, according to their bio on the platform.
They have a total of eight Airbnb listings. The other listings, though not inspired by any specific themes, are just as Insta-worthy.
The plane-themed Airbnbs both have close to five-star ratings, and have received numerous glowing reviews. Besides the appreciation for the aviation décor, guests also rated highly the hosts’ service standards and the apartments’ cleanliness.
The apartment’s location was a hit among guests too, as it’s one minute from BeleTime Danga Bay Mall and 10 to 15 minutes to JB hotspots like City Square, MidValley Southkey mall and Legoland.

Living room
The living room features a row of actual plane seats perched on a platform. The back of the seats still have their pull out table intact, so you can have your snacks like you would on a real plane as well.
The balcony
This could pass off as an actual arrival hall at an airport, if you ask us. What makes this better than a run of the mill airport? The spectacular sea views.
Kitchen/dining area
Probably our favourite part of the apartment. It must be easy to imagine you’re at the bar of a Business or First Class lounge watching your food prepared for you.
Bedrooms
The two bedrooms are described as First Class Suites by the Airbnb hosts, and have cute aviation touches like galley trolleys as side tables, and windows fashioned to look like airplane windows.
To complete the experience, there's even a check-in counter (no queue!) and the dining trays on the plane seats have been retained.
