These Bali Hotels Have All-In Quarantine Packages That Let You Leave The Room During Isolation For Swims, Yoga & Other Activities
Quarantine, but make it feel like a vacay.
Bali has just reopened to vaccinated international tourists this month, and Singapore Airlines is relaunching direct flights — albeit non-VTL ones — to the island from Feb 16. Before you hastily book that long-awaited vacay, there are a few things to know. After all, a Bali getaway now is not like what you remember from carefree pre-pandemic days.
Under Bali’s current travel requirements, all foreign visitors are required to serve a five-day quarantine upon arrival in Bali, and this will have to be pre-booked before their arrival (at the time of writing, there are over 60 hotels approved for quarantine).
But isolating in Bali doesn’t always mean being cooped up in a room. Some hotels in Bali are offering all-in quarantine packages, more affectionately known as ‘warm up vacations’ so you can get into vacay mode even before your actual holiday starts.
By and large, these deals include accommodation, all meals, and most importantly, the mandated two PCR tests that visitors are required to undergo. Some will even do your laundry for you. And unlike most quarantines where you’re confined to the room, hotel activities are also included in the package, so you can leave the room or villa for a yoga sesh, a dip in the pool and more at designated zones for quarantining guests. Quarantine, but make it feel like a holiday.
But before you go, there are a few logistical matters to note. All international visitors to Bali are also required to be fully-vaccinated, have applied for a B211A e-visit tourist visa (Singaporeans included), have a negative PCR test within 48 hours of departure, and hold travel insurance with at least US$25,000 coverage (check the latest travel requirements here)
And while there are VTL flights between Singapore and Indonesia via Jakarta, there are currently no VTL flights from Bali to Singapore. In other words, if you fly direct between Singapore and Bali, you will still need to serve a stay-home notice (SHN) for seven days upon return to Singapore.

Grand Hyatt Bali
At this five-star resort nestled close to Nusa Dua beach, the rooms come with a private patio or balcony with spectacular views of the ocean or the gardens within its compounds.
How much: From 10.5mil IDR (S$981) for one person and 15.5mil IDR (S$1,449) for two pax in total for 5D/4N.

What to do here: Quarantine guests can head to the pool, beach and fitness centre within a designated zone (the quarantine rooms are in a separate wing from the rest of the hotel). Get your workout in with stretch and tone, yoga, aerobics and Crossfit classes. Balinese cultural activities such as coconut leaf creations and statue painting are also available, or flaunt that artistic streak in an origami, painting or fruit carving session.

The Westin Nusa Dua
The 99 rooms for warm-up vacation guests are located in a separate wing of the luxury beachfront hotel, but still boasts views of the garden or pool. In the segregated area, guests can still enjoy facilities such as a restaurant, pool, garden, kids area and workout corner.
How much: From 10,327,500 IDR (S$965) for single occupancy, or 15.5mil IDR (S$1,449) for double occupancy in total for 5D/4N. Valid until Jun 30, 2022.
What’s included: Accommodation, daily breakfast, resort credits (2.8mil IDR for one pax, 5.6mil IDR for two), two PCR tests per person, health monitoring in hotel, airport transfer, and 30-day Covid-19 travel insurance.
What to do here: Enjoy movie nights in the garden or go for yoga, meditation, crafting and cooking classes. If you feel safer doing it in the comfort of your own room, virtual fitness classes are also available; you can also request for playing cards, lego and even colouring books to be delivered to the room.

Griya Santrian Nusa Dua
A prelude to your holiday in this Sanur beachfront resort lets you soak in coastline views and even enjoy a spot of sunbathing in a designated area on the beach.
How much: From 8,800,000 IDR (S$822) for single occupancy and 14,00,000 IDR (S$1,308) for double occupancy in total for 5D/4N. Valid until June 30, 2022.

A stay here is a veritable luxury. You not only get to luxuriate in pool villas with a view, but also enjoy a host of unique activities out of the room.
How much: From 34,480,000 IDR (S$3,222) for single occupancy to 54,060,000 IDR (S$5,051) for triple occupancy in a one-bedroom suite with a private pool for 5D/4N. The hotel accommodates up to five per room if you book a two-room villa for 83,111,000 IDR (S$7,767) in total for two adults and three kids.
What’s included: Accommodation, three meals a day served in villa or at the hotel’s restaurant, two PCR tests, Covid-19 treatment insurance coverage up to $70,000, complimentary unlimited laundry, fitness equipment on request (eg. treadmill or bike), access to book and movie libraries, airport transfer.
What to do here: As far as warm-up vacation itineraries go, this is probably the most interesting. Book a private garden croquet session, learn to make Bali offerings or meditate in the mornings, get a private consultation with a nutritionist, or go on a greenhouse tour with a chef. Yoga, aqua aerobics and Pilates reformer classes are also available. Certain activities have an additional charge.

The most wallet-friendly option in this list, the resort in Jimbaran amply provides what you need to kickstart your getaway in Bali, pandemic-style.
How much: 8,140,000 IDR (S$760) nett for single occupancy; 6,940,000 IDR (S$649) nett per pax for twin sharing for 5D/4N. Two-bedder family suites are also available for four people at 7,140,000 IDR net per pax (S$667).
