We thought our matching gingham PJ sets and fluffy bedroom slippers were a cute bedtime look, until we watched It's Okay To Not Be Okay. In the recently-concluded hit Korean drama, volatile children's book author Ko Mun-Yeong (played by ant-waisted Seo Ye Ji) swans around her gloomy mansion in ethereal nightgowns... and heels. Sometimes stiletto heels. At home. That's the kind of OTT-ness we can only dream about.
Then you find out that in real life, these gowns are actually the latest frocks hot off the runway from designer labels like Fendi, Givenchy and Isabel Marant. Yes, her non-bedtime outfits in every episode of the show are almost Met Gala-worthy, but wearing Fendi Pre-Fall 2020 to snoozesville? That's a new level of extra that needs to be celebrated.
