If you want to turn your nest into a Muji shrine, zip straight to their dedicated interior consultation counter, where the friendly staff can help you figure out how to add a touch (or touches) of minimalism to your home.
Go furniture shopping at Idée.
This is a furniture-centric brand that is not I...kea. Think of Idée (say ee-deh) as Muji’s more atas sister brand. Both are owned by Muji’s parent company, but Idée offers minimalist furniture designed in-house and given a fancier spin — think sumptuous leather sofas and matching wooden coffee tables. But prices are less wallet-friendly than Ikea’s, starting from $13 for a mug and $329 for a chair. Idée also stocks posh household knick-knacks like artisanal plates and their own fashion line called Pool, which offers linen clothing made from recycled fabric scraps.
Experience a free mini Muji museum.
A space has been specially set aside in the shop for exhibitions that change themes quarterly. The Plaza Singapura flagship store kicks off with a showcase titled ‘Found Muji’, which features thousands of fascinating objects aligned with Japanese-level precision within the space. Some of these knick-knacks are from different countries, and have inspired some of the Muji products you can purchase.

Bored of your Muji casual basics? The flagship also brings in Muji Labo, their premium apparel line that will have you slaying your weekend game.

The Plaza Singapura flagship offers two new and exclusive items at their 70-seat Muji Cafe & Meal. Tuck into the Pork Katsu Don ($15.90), which has a juicy slab of crispy deep-fried pork nestling on 16-grain rice, greens and an onsen egg, while the Cheese Baked Butter Chicken Rice ($17.90) has chicken chunks, rice and curry blanketed with warm mozzarella cheese. FYI: Muji has big expansion plans here and more stores are in the works. Will Muji become as commonplace as Daiso? Hmm.
