Sanrio Is Discontinuing 16 Characters Soon, Including Charmmykitty & Kirimichan. Here's Where To Buy Character Merch Before They're Gone

The Sanrio realm has kept all of us fascinated and charmed over the years, no matter if you’re a kid collecting plushies or an adult working in corporate. When it comes to Sanrio, you mostly know of the bigger names like My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and of course Hello Kitty. 

However, some of its characters are being phased out – including Charmmykitty, also known as Hello Kitty’s cat, Kirimichan, a piece of salmon sashimi, Mentakun, a cute eccentric octopus who is also a self-proclaimed idol, Gyudechama, the girl version of Gudetama (and with the signature butt crack too, and My Melody's cousin, Littleforestfellow (full list of departing characters here). 

So before they say goodbye for good, make sure you get your hands on the cute merch. We rounded up some of the best Sanrio merch for you.

Charmmykitty

Charmmy is Hello Kitty’s pet Persian kitten and according to her profile, she is kind, polite, and caring. She also likes to hang out with her besties and is quite the fashionista.

Kirimichan

Kirimichan is a piece of sliced salmon. They were born the moment they became a slice of fish and their dream is to be served with all their friends at the dinner table. Hmmm, weird, but cute nonetheless.

Littleforestfellow

Also know as My Melody’s cousin, Littleforestfellow is a boy rabbit also know as Mellow, or Mero. He wears a distinctive red hood and likes to collect buttons.
