This Week’s Best-Dressed Local Stars: Apr 11-18

We can’t go for holidays now but that doesn’t mean we can't dress like we’re on a holiday. And that’s exactly what Michelle did this week, sporting a tropical print crop top and harem pants — the perfect combo to wear for a beach vacay.

Amanda looked like she’d just stepped out of a Mad Men scene, wearing a retro-inspired getup by Fendi. Keep those fabulous quarantine looks coming girl!

If Dick was trying to tell us something through his colourful clothes, the message is clear — COVID-19’s not gonna spoil his stay-home-and-party mood. His unabashedly bold outfit deserves a spot in the best dressed awards at whatever beach party he attends after the circuit breaker ends.

With the #QuarantinePillowChallenge trending now, Constance, Cheryl and Jean joined in the fun by, you guessed it, wearing their pillows. The trio looked fabulous with statement belts for a cinched in waist, but we favour Constance’s getup more because look, she’d even turned a toilet roll into a handbag. How creative!

You Yi sort of cheated in her #QuarantinePillowChallenge outfit by using duvet. But we must say her monochrome getup looked great and very much like a stylish tai tai spending some me time at home with a drink in her hand.

This week, Sharon slipped into a boardroom and ballroom ready outfit which can be pulled together easily. The crisp white shirt may spell professional but the wide skirt definitely warrants a few twirls on the dancefloor. The shock of red on her heels adds a lovely surprise to this timeless outfit.

We love how versatile Ferlyn’s gingham jumpsuit is. We’ll wear it on its on to attend a party, and layer a blazer over it to look professional at work.

Aside from bright and bold colours, feminine floral prints are one of the best ways to inject some fun into our daily lives right now. Hazelle’s pleated wrap playsuit is a cheery and timeless piece that’s best worn with a megawatt smile like she did here.

Sonia juxtaposed her overall muted outfit by opting for a neon green one-shoulder crop top, making her OOTD stand out instantly. Hot!

When Cheryl isn't wearing pillows, she dresses for her WFH meetings in clothes that look chic yet comfy enough for her to chase her kids in, like this ensemble from C/MEO Collective and Our Second Nature.

Working from home means we get to be in our PJs a lot more. For Denise, she chose a classic hoodie by Kenzo that features the fashion label’s iconic tiger print, and shorts. It looks very comfy and we think it’ll be hard for her to peel herself out of bed in the morning.

Kewei looked radiant and ravishing in this colourful sleeveless number by sustainable knitwear label PH5. The dress hugged her like a glove, flaunting her beautiful curves that every mum-to-be will be envious of.

Getting ready for a zoom meeting with your bosses or clients? Try wearing a bright pink blazer; it’ll add a splash of colour to your WFH outfit, making you look fresh and alert.

Unlike the regular polka dot dresses, Michelle’s version here features asymmetrical dots which, in our opinion, give the design an artsy appeal. Wear it and let the irregular dots and high slit do all the talking for you.

The lockdown life calls for a comfy and cute PJ look. Bing Yu share hers this week by slipping into a Victoria’s Secret pyjamas, featuring the label’s iconic pink stripes. We'd totally wear that shirt with a pencil skirt to the office.

Thanks to the puffy sleeve, Simone’s one-shoulder number gets a retro-inspired spin that we absolutely adore. Whether it’s for a live stream session or party, this polka dot dress is sure to grab people’s attention.

Think pantsuits have little room for fun? Think again. Joanna’s playful suit by Spanish fashion label Delpozo features floral prints and mustard yellow accents for a contrasting combo that’s lively and stylish.

Lawrence’s tennis getup is what we’d imagine wearing on a safari trip too. The wide brim hat is great for shielding the face against the sun while the logo T-shirt and khaki green shorts keep it cool and comfy for the wearer.
