Marks & Spencer Raffles City Not Closing Down After All
But it's still having a sale now.
We first reported in December 2020 that British retail chain Marks & Spencer was closing its Raffles City Shopping Centre outlet permanently. It had made the announcement — via a newspaper ad on Dec 10 — that it was “moving out” of the City Hall mall, where it had been a tenant for 34 years since the mall’s opening.
According to the ad, the outlet’s last day of operation was supposedly on Dec 31. M&S is owned by Dubai-based conglomerate Al-Futtaim, which also ran the now-defunct Robinsons department stores here.
