Love, Bonito's More Luxe & Upmarket Line, Studio, Drops Next Week — Here's A First Look At All 16 Designs

Not content with three massively popular brick-and-mortar stores (their third and largest one at Funan opened just two months ago, check out our 8days.sg story here) and an online store where stocks fly off the virtual shelves, local fast fashion label Love, Bonito (LB) continues to push the envelope. On Monday (Aug 26), the first collection for a brand new line will drop online and in stores, and it's called, quite simply, Studio.

Touted as an "elevated, more fashion-forward offering", with a curated number of statement pieces which will launch only once every four months, think of Studio as the more sophisticated and slightly more atas cousin of LB's main line, with smaller collections that launch less frequently. The first Studio collection, called Metamorphosis, is about "spontaneity, vibrancy and the energy of a chance combination... an artistic representation of our richest, most vivid creative impulses — made wearable for our customers.” Translated, it means pieces which are more statement, more occasion, less everyday, and more special. Expect intricate details, interesting fabrications and embellishments, luxe fabrics such as organza and guipure lace, and special arty floral prints hand-sketched in-house.

Priced at $46.90 to $109.90, it's more upmarket than the usual Love, Bonito offerings. Is this the start of LB's move into more luxe, less fast fashion collections? We're waiting and seeing. Studio by Love, Bonito is available online and at the 313@Somerset and Funan stores.
