Is This A Hand Sanitiser that Moisturises? Or A Moisturiser That Sanitises?

Singapore beauty brand Recherché has come up with the world’s first sanitising hand cream.

In another awesome tale of a local company pivoting to stay relevant and produce useful products during the Covid-19 outbreak, Singapore cosmeceutical skincare brand Recherché, whose products are made in Singapore, has come up with what they call the world’s first sanitising hand cream.

We know complaining about hands that have become dry thanks to frequent washing and sanitising during a global pandemic is very #firstworldproblems, but Recherché’s Protective Recovery Hand Cream could be very useful for those who suffer from atopic eczema and contact dermatitis, and also for everyone else who loves two-in-one products which work harder and save time and energy.

Recherché Protective Recovery Hand Cream, $28.80, is both a hand sanitiser and a hand cream.

We tried it, and it’s a scentless green-gray lotion that absorbs quickly, leaving no oily residue. It doesn’t feel as creamy and luxe as regular hand creams, but then again, regular hand creams can’t bust viruses, right?

This product is $28.80 for 50ml and is safe for babies and pregnant women. It’s effective against enveloped viruses, including the corona virus (SARS-Cov2 causing COVID-19), SARS (SARS-Cov), MERS (MERS-CoV) and Influenza A.

It’s also alcohol-free, and uses an active ingredient called Activated Silver Particulate to inactivate viruses, bacteria and germs.
