High Tea, Safe Distancing & Free Beauty Products, Anyone?
It's okay to sneak out for some afternoon tea and sanity, right?
It's irresponsible and risky to go out to places where it's packed with people, amidst fears of Covid-19 spread and the government's safe distancing measures. But we don't have a lockdown (yet) and if the places we choose to go practise caution and safe distancing, we say, why not?
French beauty brand Chantecaille's Spring-themed dining collab with InterContinental Singapore is bringing us some joy in a depressing stay-home season. It's a luxe afternoon tea in a beautiful flower-filled setting at the InterContinental Singapore's lobby lounge, featuring a customised menu inspired by and crafted around Chantecaille's iconic Rose De Mai skincare, which is made with the world's rarest rose. And as you can see below, the lounge seating in the hotel is placed rather far apart, even for those sitting at the same table, and guests are not to occupy all the seats at a table. In the spacious lounge, the tables are, of course, a very safe distance away from one another.

The highlights of the high tea include a sakura mousse with peach jelly and a dome-shaped rose tea, cardamom cremeux and vanilla sponge on lemon shortbread. Savoury treats include prawn mousse pita with pomegranate; salmon thyme quiche and feta cheese cranberry roll. It comes with unlimited servings of coffee and tea, ice cream, baked crumble and bread pudding, and is $88 for two. Or pay $118 for two and get a flute of Taittinger Brut Champagne each. You'll also get a complimentary Chantecaille gift bag featuring sample sizes of the brand's luxe skincare, such as the Chantecaille Rose de Mai Face Oil 4ml and Chantecaille Jasmine Lily Healing Mask 8ml, along with Chantecaille gift vouchers.

The Classic Afternoon Tea: Chantecaille Rose de Mai launches April 1 and is on till June 30. Mon to Thurs, 2 to 5pm; Fri to Sun and public holidays, 1pm to 3pm & 3.30 to 5.30pm.
