The Heartbreaking Story Behind The Creation Of Summer, Sheila Sim’s Marvin The Martian Figurine
The actress and other celebs put their own design spin on Marvin the Martian figurines for charity.
Iconic cartoon character Marvin The Martian has landed on our shores — not to invade us, but to make the world a better place. As part of the Get Animated Invasion Asia Tour charity initiative, Marvin and his clones will be making a final pit stop at Raffles City Singapore to showcase almost 80 customised Marvin the Martian figurines designed by luminaries like Aaron Kwok, Carina Lau, K-pop star Amber Liu and local artistes such as Mark Lee, Li Nanxing and Constance Lau.
If you’re feeling a little more generous, besides going to ogle the figurines which will be on display till March 3, you can participate in a silent auction for your favourite figurine. After all, 100 per cent of the proceeds from these art pieces will be donated to support the Make-A-Wish International charity foundation, which grants the wishes of children aged between 3 and 18 with life-threatening medical conditions.
Starting from scratch with a blank Marvin Funko Dorbz figurine, these celebrities were given the freedom to unleash their creativity and let their imagination run wild. Taking inspiration from their passions, life stories and even NS, scroll on to see what the stars have created.
