Celeb Beauty Resolutions For 2019: Who Said "I Shall Not Pick At My Zits" & "Always Trim Your Nose Hair"?
Beauty must-dos in 2019 from Rebecca Lim, Elvin Ng, Sonia Chew, Jean Danker and more.

Mask more. Drink more water. Sleep more. Use less social media. Celebs — they're just like us?

Rebecca Lim
"I’m trying to use less social media and watch fewer shows at night. I really need to catch up on my sleep and I think once I do, my skin and health should improve. And no more supper! Okay, maybe twice a month? I’ve been having too much supper. It’s about time I cut down on that! My metabolic rate isn’t as high as it used to be!"

Sheila Sim
"My beauty resolution is to sleep earlier, drink more water, and put in more effort to exercise more. Instead of only doing classes for an hour, I want to make an effort to do small and short exercises every day!"

Elvin Ng
"I’d like fewer fine lines appearing on my face, so I’m applying more moisturiser and midnight recovery oil on my face. All-in-one is best for me, or just a couple of simple steps, 'cos I can’t go through a nine-course (dinner) routine. I hope to encourage myself to use more moisturising masks too, but the stickiness puts me off a little."

Diana Ser
"Wear a big-ass visor when I am on a shoot. My skin was completely sun-ruined from filming [Ch U documentary] Innocence Lost in 2017/18. And in 2019, I have committed to another overseas TV project. I also want to try and copy the way my make-up artist does my make-up. It's a foregone conclusion, but die-die must try!"

Sonia Chew
"I shall not pick at my zits and blackheads. Every time I see a little bump, my fingers seem to be magnetised to it and programmed to squeeze, resulting in redness and horrible potential scars. I need to drink lots more water. Some days, I have just as much coffee as water to keep myself going, so that has gotta change 'cos more water = more GLOW. I face mask quite religiously, but this year, I want to focus on eye masking as well! We cannot neglect our fragile eye area and that can be the first telltale signs of ageing!"

Chua Enlai
"Always trim your nose hair. Not that I don't do that now! Use a more moisturising mask. I got a jar from Kiehl's a few months ago and haven't used it. I guess as a hangover from being a pimply adolescent, my masks were always those oil-absorbing clay ones. I'll need to add a little more variety into my regime.
Also, never thread your eyebrows or shave only a part of your legs. Okay, these are not the norm for me, but I had to do both for [theatre show] Private Parts. It's been more than a month since we closed but it's still not business as usual on the hair front! My brows are still patchy, and I really had to learn to draw them for filming. It was like filling in the blanks.
I also only shaved below my knee for the show 'cos I was lazy and now my legs are two-toned. Hairier above the knee. It's weird.
Stop scratching and be more discerning with my body wash and cream. I have eczema. But I'm always seduced by packaging and scents. I should be more careful and use more appropriate products. Not just fancy ones I steal from hotels!"

Jean Danker
"Sleep a little earlier! I have a bad habit of sleeping only in the wee hours. I need to learn to wind down earlier and not binge watch anything on Netflix! Drink more water. I already do because of my radio/hosting work but sometimes in the course of the day, I find myself slightly dehydrated. And definitely start spinning classes! Been meaning to since a year ago!"

Jeanette Aw
"Actually, I don't really make resolutions, much less beauty ones! I just do what my skin calls for."
