This Week’s Best-Dressed Stars: Joanne Peh, Qi Yuwu & More At The Actress' 20th Showbiz Anniversary Party

The most stylish celeb OOTDs of the week.

This Week’s Best-Dressed Stars: Joanne Peh, Qi Yuwu & More At The Actress' 20th Showbiz Anniversary Party

‘Twas a big week for Joanne Peh, who celebrated both her 40th(!!) birthday and 20th anniversary in showbiz with a lavish shindig at the Van Gogh exhibition at Resorts World Sentosa on April 25. Pals like Tay Ying, Kimberly Chia, James Seah, and of course, hubby Qi Yuwu brought their fashion A-game to the emerald-themed party (20 years is sometimes called the Emerald Anniversary).

Elsewhere, we also saw fab festive fits from celebs like Nurul Aini and Taufik Batisah during Hari Raya. Keep scrolling for our favourite #OOTDs from this week.

Joanne Peh

While all of Joanne’s outfits that night — yes, there were several changes — were amazing, our favourite was this form-fitting Mugler mini (love the glove sleeve), which she paired with badass lace-up boots for some edge. Fierce.

Joanne Peh

We love this sexy mini, also from Mugler, too. Joanne has never been one to shy away from sheer and revealing looks (see here), and this sparkly little number has both. She’s shrugging because she knows she looks hot.

Tay Ying

(Almost) stealing the spotlight from the birthday girl at Joanne’s bash was Tay Ying, who showed a lot of skin in a sizzling olive green frock. Wonder what dad Zheng Geping and mum Hong Huifang thought of their little girl’s daring look.

Qi Yuwu

Looking very handsome in a classic tux by Ralph Lauren as he supported his wife at her party was Ah Wu. You really can’t go wrong with a well-fitted suit, but what we think really stood out about his look was that super proud beam on his face.

Kimberly Chia

Cutouts seemed to be a common theme that night. New mama Kimberly kept it relatively simple with her peekaboo dress from Supergurl, light makeup, and minimal jewellery, but girl was still glowing.

Fiona Fussi

Also rocking a deep peacock hue was Fiona, who oozed understated elegance in an asymmetric gown with a thigh-high slit.

James Seah

At first, we thought the strap over James’ chest was one of those body harnesses that were fashionable for a time, but it actually turned out to be his Louis Vuitton bag. Still a very sharp look regardless.

Nick Teo

While most of the men wore suits to Joanne’s event, Nick stood out with his more relaxed ensemble which included the colour of the evening, green.

Sonia Chew

If it weren’t for that iPhone, this photo of Sonia could totally pass off as one taken in the 2000s thanks to her leather patchwork outfit and wraparound sunnies. Very Y2K.

JJ Lin

JJ took some time between performing at his concerts in Paris to snap some moody monochrome #OOTDs around the City of Love. Wonder if that black-and-white striped Moncler jacket was an unintentional homage to the stereotypical mime’s outfit.

Carrie Wong

Carrie’s been livin’ it up on her whirlwind tour of New York for Tiffany & Co. while flaunting a variety of fabulous looks. This LBD with structured folds, which she wore to the star-studded opening of the luxury jewellery brand’s new flagship store, is the perfect blend of cute and classy.

Nurul Aini

Nurul and her family looked so amazing and well-coordinated in their matching mother-and-daughter, father-and-son turquoise outfits that it’s hard to believe that she only bought the clothes two days before Hari Raya. We are loving the colour scheme, which is both soothing and super elegant.

Taufik Batisah

The Hari Raya family matching trend continued with Taufik and his missus, who kept it simple from the waist up with black tops, with the festive touch coming in the form of their patterned bottoms.

Iman Fandi

It’s no secret that football icon Fandi Ahmad’s daughter is a fashionista, and it showed in her choice of Raya dress, an iridescent-looking pink — or is it lavender? — kaftan with intricate lace details on the neckline and sleeves. Absolutely gorgeous.

Aisyah Aziz

Aisyah served up a delicious cocktail of colours with her Raya outfit, which consisted of an olive green satin frock, eggplant purple headscarf, and cherry red purse. Talk about a recipe for #OOTD awesomeness.

Lawrence Wong

Kudos to Lawrence for proving that you’re never too old — or too male — to wear a jacket with a cartoon rabbit on it (this is from the Tommy Hilfiger and Miffy collab, by the way), especially if it looks so fluffy and comfortable.

Chen Yixin

Yixin exuded major laidback beach babe vibes with her cute chocolate bikini, bandana, and oversized Prada tote that’s the perfect size for keeping everything you’ll need for a seaside getaway.

Ayden Sng

That MCM varsity jacket makes us realise we can totally see Ayden playing the hot, popular high school jock that every girl pines after in your typical teen rom-com. We’ll give him an A-plus for style too.

Phyllis Quek

Who says you can’t wear a power suit on holiday? After all, fashion is serious business too, and Phyllis, who kept things casual in Seoul with a mustard tone, chunky sneakers, and a light linen fabric, absolutely aced her vacation #OOTD game like a boss.

Gini Chang

The Star Search 2019 finalist ditched her usually sugary sweet outfits in favour of a darker, more badass get-up that we think suits her to a T. More leather and less frills, please.

Chiou Huey

Looking at Chiou Huey in her loud and glittery fringed set made us feel like we had time-travelled back to the ‘70s and are following her to the hottest disco party in town. And we totally mean that in a good way.

Hong Huifang

Huifang was in Italy for the Far East Film Festival, where Ajoomma was the opening film, and she looked every bit the chic leading lady in a blazer dress and knee-high boots as she posed for photos, signed autographs, and snapped selfies with fans.
