Is The New “It” Cleaning Product For The Home A Mop? Here’s What Happened When We Tried & Tested An Award-Winning Mop

Accolades aside, how does this mop fare in real life? I decided to test it out in my kitchen that was undergoing a little renovation to see of this mop could withstand heavy-duty cleaning. 

First Impressions & The Set-Up

First things first, the set is super compact and lightweight. Even after unpacking everything, I was quite stumped at how small the bucket was and of course was skeptical with how well it would clean my floors. The set includes a mop with detachable and retractable handles, and a self-cleaning bucket with a complicated looking filtration system. 

Once it’s assembled and filled with water, you’ll notice how sturdy the bucket feels—there are no splashes or wobbling. The microfibre mop heads attach easily, ready to tackle dust, grime, and spills with ease. The best part is that no charging is needed, and no wires are present. 

Award-Winning Technology

The bucket comes has an in-built dual-chamber water chamber that comes into action when you spin it. The system works by always spraying clean water onto the mop pad during spinning, while the built-in hard brush scrubs the mop pad clean. The two chambers also means that clean and dirty water are separated—and remain separated while you clean.

What I Liked

This mop was obviously designed by someone who knows a thing or two about cleaning—and maybe even likes cleaning. It's very well-built—despite its small size the bucket managed to keep the clean and dirty water separated throughout. The splash guards also kept water from spilling and sloshing around while I carried it around the house.

The mop head, though small is pretty mighty and good for cleaning even stubborn stains. It picked up mysterious sticky spots on my kitchen hair and clumps of cat hair around. The microfibre fabric absorbs and holds onto grime without pushing it around (my biggest ick with regular mops), and the mop itself manoeuvres well around furniture and baseboards—ideal for tight spaces. The mop head also swivels 360 degrees, so if there’s an awkward corner you’ve been ignoring, it’s time to face it. Another bonus point is that you can toss the detachable mop head into the washing machine after every cleaning session—the mop heads are machine washable up to 200 times, saving you money on single-use disposable pads. 

I was doubtful but am not anymore of the patented award-winning technology—after every spin, it was quite satisfying to start cleaning again with a fresh and clean mop head.

What I Didn't Like

While I have not much notes on the bad stuff that didn't work, I would have to say that this mop is not suited for heavy-duty cleaning. Because if the amount of dust from reno works in the kitchen, I found myself cleaning the mop head too frequently and having to change the water quickly. But if you're doing simple and light-cleaning or fancy a daily quick mop around the house, this one is definitely for you. 

The Verdict: Is It Worth It?

This mop  is one of those rare products that actually lives up to its promises. It’s efficient, ergonomic, and actually makes cleaning feel less like a chore. Retailing for under $45, it's also super affordable especially if you're not thinking of getting a steam mop. 

If you’re someone who wants to get cleaning done quickly and effectively without feeling like you just ran a marathon, this mop set might just be worth the investment. Plus it is perfect for smaller spaces like the homes in Singapore.
