How to relive Descendants of the Sun in Greece
You’re done with The Descendants of the Sun, what next? Well, you can re-watch the K-drama or patiently wait for the next season. Better yet, why not hop onto a plane to Greece where the show was filmed?

Greece is in debt again — this time, it owes South Korea a big favour, but in a good way. Thanks to the monster K-drama hit Descendants of the Sun, there’s growing interest in all things Greek, specifically the island of Zakynthos, about an hour from Athens by air. Zakynthos, which is part of the Ionian Islands, stood in for the fictional war-torn nation of Urk where the show’s group of Korean peacekeepers are stationed in.
Tour guide agencies like Viator (viator.com) has already come up with DOTS-themed packages while Airbnb has compiled a list of properties on Zakynthos that’ll have fans re-live (or even re-enact) their favourite moments from the show. Below are a few spots that caught our attention. (Just a reminder: Neither arrangements include Korean hunks, shirtless and glistening with sweat. That you'll have to supply your own.)
