Jamie Yeo Gives Birth To A Baby Boy! Congrats!

Earlier this morning, @iamjamieyeo posted the sweetest of pics: A tiny baby human sandwiched between his adoring parents, Gold 905 DJ Jamie Yeo, 40, and her husband of about three months, a 38-year-old British corporate risk management consultant named Rupert.

The couple got married in June, 10 months after meeting on Tinder, and made the surprise announcement that she was five months pregnant at the same time. Baby Luke actually arrived last month, but had to spend three weeks in hospital as he was born about five weeks earlier than his due date. We’re guessing Jamie wanted things to stabilise before she announced the joyous news. She said on her Instagram:

“Arrived 29 August, a little early at 35 weeks, but healthy and at a respectable 2.35kg. After 3 weeks getting spoilt by the amazing world class nurses and docs in the HD ward of SGH our little man Luke is finally home! Massive thanks also to the medical staff especially the ever cheerful nurses in the maternity and labour wards, whose experience helped us get through a month of hospitalisation for Mummy and got baby Luke to a safe place for delivery. Special mention to Prof Yong Tze Tein! We could not have asked for a cooler or more competent gynae! Now we’re finally looking forward to bonding time at home for all the family. Thanks in advance for all the well-wishes and apologies if we don’t get back to you all as we adjust to sleep deprivation and numerous diaper changes!!”

Jamie’s first child, Alysia, 7, with her second husband, was also born premature. She arrived 10 weeks early and weighed just 1.2kg, and spent four weeks in hospital. As they adjust to a new life, Jamie and her husband are not doing interviews at this time. As we eagerly await new pics of the undoubtedly as-adorable-as-big-sis baby boy, we wish Jamie and her beautiful family all the best. Jamie is expected to return to the airwaves in December.
