Frank Iero has urged his fans to "respect boundaries" during his tour.

The 35-year-old singer is currently on tour in Russia with his band Frank Iero and The Patience, and suggested in a lengthy Twitter post that his fans had been involved in "high speed taxi chases" and "following [them] to train stations" in order to meet the star.

Frank - who was formerly the guitarist for My Chemical Romance before their split in 2013 - highlighted the need for "privacy" in order for the band to be able to put on "the best show possible".

Taking to the social media site to post a picture of his open letter, the 'Weighted' singer wrote: "Dear friends, I truly appreciate your love & enthusiasm for the patience coming to tour your cities, please know we are excited too! However high speed taxi chases to our hotels & following us to train stations where we have to load & account for gear in a small amount of time is not only extremely unsafe, it adds an incredible amount of stress to our work & travel, & strips us of the small amount of privacy we so desperately need in order to put on the best show possible for you. I hope you understand this request or at least can respect these boundaries as I believe it will benefit all of us and the performances.I look forward to seeing you all at the shows! xofrnk (sic)"

Frank captioned the picture with a tweet which read: "Important, please translate and share. Thanks xofrnk (sic)"

He then later tweeted another picture of the same letter, this time translated into Russian.

He captioned that image: "Important message from yesterday translated. Please share, thank you xofrnk (sic)"
