Nine Muses′ Hyun A Departs from Group After Contract Comes To An End

Nine Muses′ Hyun A has withdrawn from the group.

On October 4, a media outlet reported that Hyun A withdrew from Nine Muses after her contract with Star Empire Entertainment came to an end. This marks the 3rd member to leave the group since June following the departure of Min Ha and Euaerin.In regards to the news, Star Empire Entertainment stated, "As of September 30, 2016, we have ended our contract with Hyun A, who has been a Nine Muses member for the last 6 years. This is a result of wanting to respect Hyun A′s desire to be active in a variety of areas. We ask for the continual support as Hyun A, who has led the team as the oldest member, begins her new journey."

After the departure of Hyun A, Nine Muses will promote as a 5 member group consisting of Hyemi, Kyung Ree, Sung-A, Sojin and Keumjo. They plan to promote as a group and individually.

Hyuna expressed her sadness and thankful heart towards her fans through a handwritten letter shared on the Nine Muses fan page.

Hyun A wrote, "The expected but also sad timing has also come to me. I want to share that my contract with Star Empire has come to an end after being a part of Nine Muses for the last 6 years since 2010."

She added, "This is a result on thinking and pondering for a long time, but it is still hard to believe. I am a little scared, but I will not lose the passion I had as the oldest member of Nine Muses. I will try my best to comfortably show Moon Hyun A′s different abilities and personalities."

She left a final note of supporting Nine Muses by saying, "I am saying my final farewell as Nine Muses, but I will always be with the members and always be with the fans. I sincerely thank you and thank you again."
