NCT 127 were the biggest hit - and also the sweetest softies - on Singapore’s stage
The K-pop boy group savoured every moment of their final ‘NEO CITY’ tour stop in town over the weekend.

Most folks would usually associate NCT 127 with robust dance moves, heavy beats and basslines, and a generally fierce image. After all, most of their lead singles have been hard-hitting, speaker-busting bangers that won’t sound out of place in a nightclub.

However, not long after their individual introductions at Saturday (Jul 20) night’s NEO CITY - The Origin tour stop in Singapore, the K-pop group began to slow things down a bit with ‘Fly Away With Me’, ‘Back 2 U (AM 01:27)’, and ‘Angel’, significantly calmer departures compared to earlier tracks like the explosive (pun intended) ‘Cherry Bomb’ and the rousing ‘Limitless’.

“We usually show very strong performances on stage, but we’re actually very warm-hearted, so we wanted to show that side of us to you guys,” Jaehyun explained.

Johnny seemed to be fond of this milder concept: when Mark suggested they return to something powerful next, he responded in mock disapproval, “I know you wanna show off your rap and everything, but I think we should keep this warm and romantic mood.”

Fans were up for that too, if the deafening cheers were any indication.

(Continued on next slide: NCT 127 both wowed and worried us with their choreography)
