Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo have received praise after revealing plans to donate their remaining Running Man salaries.
On December 19, a media outlet reported that a representative of SBS′ Running Man revealed Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo′s plans to donate their remaining salaries to be received from the show until February of next year. In regards to the reports, Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook′s agencies have stated, "In order to fulfill Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook′s desires, we have decided to donate their remaining salaries."
Details regarding where the donations will go and the method have not yet been decided. The decision was made as the stars wanted to express their appreciation to fans and for them to apologize for the sudden news of their departure from Running Man.
Meanwhile, SBS′ Running Man shocked fans by announcing the departure of members Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo without properly notifying the stars. The program was criticized for their improper method of removing the stars and the decision was ultimately made to end the program in February. Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo agreed to remain on the show until the end of February due to their 7 year relationship and attachment.
