Zhang Yaodong Praised For His Singing At National Day Event, His First Public Appearance Since Scandal

It's been less than two months since Mediacorp actor Zhang Yaodong's damning sex scandal, but it looks like his fans are ready to forgive and forget. 

Yesterday (Aug 19), the 46-year-old shared on Facebook a video of him performing at the Toa Payoh Central CC National Day Dinner last Saturday (Aug 17).

In the video, Yaodong was seen all decked out in patriotic red and white. He was also performing Hong Kong rock band Beyond's 1991 hit song 'Glorious Years' with fellow local stars Xixi Lim and Marcus Chin. 

And let's just say we were very impressed by Yaodong's singing, as well as how fluent he is in Cantonese. 

Netizens totally agree too, with many taking to the comments to praise the actor for his singing prowess.

"You're handsome and pleasing to the eye, you're great at both singing and acting, I'll always support you, Yaodong!," gushed one such fan.

Some also took this opportunity to express their unwavering support towards Yaodong despite his recent scandal. 

"I've never let those rumours affect my support towards him. =He's handsome to the max," raved one netizen.

Another joked: "Being too handsome is problematic too, there are so many damning rumours out to get him."
