Concerns About Health Of BY2’s Yumi Bai Grow After Her Weight Drops To 42kg
The 31-year-old singer shares that she is not deliberately skipping meals, and is working on gaining weight.

If you follow Singaporean girl group BY2’s Yumi Bai on social media, you’d know the singer is on a fitness kick.
The 31-year-old often posts gym selfies, showing off the fruits of her labour.
But could she be taking her workouts a bit too far?
Earlier this week, Yumi posted several snaps of herself in pink cropped top and grey tights that showcased her curves and toned midriff.
She shared that her weight has dropped to 42kg and her seemingly thinner appearance has sparked concern among her family. Her weight would make the 1.64m-tall singer underweight according to her BMI.
"Recently, many people have asked me why I’ve became so thin. I initially thought nothing of it, but my weight has dropped to 42kg, and even my family is very worried about me,” she wrote on Instagram.
"I really want to clarify that I am not deliberately skipping meals, maybe I'm just a bit tired. Jia you!”
Concerned fans have urged the star to “eat more to gain weight” and that being too thin is not healthy.
She later replied to comments saying she hasn’t been eating well and is working on putting on weight.
Yumi’s image took a massive hit in 2022 following Wang Leehom’s divorce scandal in which she was accused of having an affair with the Taiwanese star.
She was rumoured to have attempted suicide and her twin sister Miko later revealed that at one point, Yumi had become "so thin that only bones were left".
Weight has always been a sore point for Yumi since she was child.
She previously shared that she “was prone to obesity and had a chubby body”.
“I had very low self-esteem. Exercise saved me. Fats are a girl’s lifelong enemy,” she wrote.
