Ya Hui’s First Day Of School Pic Shows She Was Born To Be A Star
Who else would have an impromptu photoshoot in the middle of class?
On January 4th, we were greeted with a deluge of celeb parents sharing pictures of their kids all dressed up in their school uniforms, ready to tackle the very first day of school,. But one particular post had us doing a double take.
Spot what’s different yet?
Firstly, it was a major throwback pic, all the way from 1994. Secondly, well, the setting looked basic enough at first glance — it’s a normal school classroom after all. But a closer at the picture (and caption) soon revealed something kinda different… and hilarious.
This post from Ya Hui was a breath of fresh air amongst the many school-related posts, with the caption declaring: “Saw many friends posting pictures of their kids going to primary school, and I was reminded of my Primary 1 self. On that day, I was very brave, and didn’t cry at all. You see, [while] my classmates are busy learning, I was standing in the middle of the classroom striking a pose for my mum and dad to take a picture of me.”
That’s right, anywhere and everywhere’s a potential photo opportunity for Ya Hui.

And at the end of the day, isn’t having the chutzpah to strike a pose at a moment’s notice, stares of the public be damned, the basic requirement of being a celebrity?
