Xu Bin’s Son, 3, Hospitalised For Rare Complication After Contracting COVID-19; Actor & Daughter, 1, Tested Positive Too

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, MIS-C, which was what Xu Bin's son was diagnosed with, has a 14 in 10,000 chance of occurring among all children with COVID-19 infection.

At the press conference to announce the Top 40 Most Popular Male and Female Artistes for this year's Star Awards, Xu Bin, 33, who made the shortlist, was missing in action.

Turns out, the actor could not make it to the event as he's currently down with COVID-19. In an interview with 8world, Xu Bin revealed that it had been six days since he first tested positive.

Additionally, the actor’s mum, as well as his three-year-old son, Ethan, and his one-year-old daughter, Elyse, all tested positive as well.

While Xu Bin’s wife, Evelyn, 32, managed to “escape" from the virus, she is currently caring for Ethan, who had to be hospitalised. Ethan first tested positive in end February, and the virus soon spread to the rest of the family.
