Xixi Lim Mourns The Passing Of Her Dog, The Third Time She's Lost A Pet: "It Hurts Even More Each Time"

Saying goodbye to a pet is never easy. For local actress Xixi Lim, she chose to pay tribute to her late pooch, En En, with the sweetest video ever.

"This is by far the hardest video to edit and also one of the hardest days," wrote Xixi in her Instagram Reel last night (May 13).

"I think deep down, the moment I carried you to the vet, I already knew… you wouldn’t be coming home with me this time."

The 38-year-old actress shared that she kept wishing for "one more miracle, one more chance" for En En, but also understood that "sometimes loving someone also means knowing when it’s time to let them rest".

"Goodbyes never get easier. This is not my first time losing a furry companion but somehow it hurts even more each time," she wrote. "Maybe because every one of you took a different piece of my heart with you when you left".

In her video, Xixi revealed that her family adopted En En, a white pomeranian, when she was 10 years old.

Apart from En En, she also had two other pets — Benji and Xiao Xiao.

"Find Benji and Xiao Xiao for me, tell them jie jie still misses them every day," she wrote at the end of the clip.

The actress also thanked En En for being there through some important chapters of her life.

"For the quiet companionship, the little habits, the comfort you gave without ever saying a word," she added.

"The house is going to feel a bit quieter now and I think a part of me will keep looking for you for a very long time. Run free now, my girl. No more pain, no more suffering."
