Well, don't say that to Xiang Yun, 58, who lost 8kg over the past three months, and is planning to bring her weight down even more, from her current 51kg to “about 48 or 49kg”. Lest you think she resorted to extreme dieting methods or intense exercise to achieve this, the 1.6m-tall actress reveals to 8days.sg that a lifestyle change was the only thing she needed to shed the excess pounds.
“My friend told me about this health programme during Chinese New Year. She lost around 8kg, and her husband lost more than 10kg. My initial goal was to cut my visceral fat and body fat. When you grow older, looking after your health gets increasingly important,” the actress explains to us over the phone. “When you get healthier, your weight automatically goes down. It’s like your body is telling you that it’s doing better. The most important thing is to know what your body needs.”
