Sigh, COVID-19 is really ruining things. Yesterday (Nov 5), celebrity hairstylist David Gan revealed that Fann Wong had to unfortunately turn down an invitation from Zhang Ziyi to appear on popular Chinese reality show I Am the Actor (previously known as The Birth of an Actor), on which the latter is a mentor.
I Am the Actor is an immensely popular show that pairs young stars with veteran thespians to reenact classic movie scenes in front of a live audience. It’s not clear if Fann was approached to be a mentor alongside Ziyi or to be a participant, but either way, it’s a pretty big honour.
