Tyler Ten Hates It When Women Call Him "Bro": "That Means I Have No Chance"

Meeting someone new can be daunting, but for Emerald Hill onscreen couple Tyler Ten and Tasha Low, at least know what they like — and don’t like — on a first date.

In a recent interview with CNA, Tyler and Tasha, who play a couple again — it's their third time after Hope Afloat (2024), Emerald Hill (2025), by the way in new Mediacorp series Last But Not Least, shared about their respective "red flags" for a first date.

"Being late," Tyler said without hesitation, leaving Tasha in shock.

The actress argued that a girl can be late for many reasons, including "traffic, or maybe the cat's sick". But to Tyler, you "just have to say [that you will be late] in advance".

Wait, why was Tasha so defensive? "I'm always a tad bit late," she sheepishly revealed.

It doesn't take a genius to then guess what Tyler's first-date green flag is.

"Being early," he cackled at his own joke. "Basic respect lah, you have to update the person if you're being late."

Tasha, on the other hand, likes it when guys are humorous and witty.

What about terms of endearment on a first date? The duo were asked if they prefer to be called "baby" or "bro".

When the actress asserted that "bro is better, of course", Tyler reacted in total disbelief.

"Yeah because on the first date you call me 'baby'? Who are you?," she retorted.

Tyler, however, hates it when people call him "bro".

"It's like bro-zoning me, that means I have no chance," he added.

Meanwhile, Tasha doesn't like the term "babe" 'cos it's "superficial", but thinks "cutie" is quite cute.

Tasha and Tyler, however, were aligned on whether their date should be an open book or more mysterious.

To Tyler, when a person is willing to share, it means that they're "interested in you".

"But if they're mysterious, it's kind of hard to guess what the person is feeling. If the person is willing to share, I'd be willing to share too," he said.

So what happens if Tyler feels that a relationship is just not working out? Would he choose to ghost or be direct with his date?

"Just leave it be, until the conversation dies out," he said.

When it comes to first dates, the million dollar question has always been: "Who should pay?"

While Tasha thinks it's perfectly fine to go Dutch, Tyler suggested that the guy could also "be a gentlemen" and offer to pay.

That said, he wouldn't say no if the girl insists on paying too. "Go ahead, I won't stop you," he chuckled.

Last But Not Least will be available on mewatch for free from February 2 2026, premieres on February 6, weekdays 9pm on Ch 8.
So don't call him "bro", okay?
