Tosh Zhang Calls Haters Of Ah Girls Go Army “The Truly Low Class Ones” After The Movie Hits S$1mil In Box Office Takings

Though its reception from movie critics and netizens has been harsh (to say the least), Jack Neo's Ah Girls Go Army has been raking in the big bucks at the box office.

According to a post by the director, the movie, which opened in cinemas on Tuesday (Feb 1), has made S$1.15mil in ticket sales already. Not bad for a movie that was so roundly criticised hor?

On Feb 3, actor Tosh Zhang, 32, who’s best known for playing Sergeant Ong in Ah Girls Go Army's (AGGA) predecessor, the Ah Boys to Men movie series celebrated AGGA's success in a Facebook post.

He wrote: "AH GIRLS GO ARMY has just broken the SGD$1 million mark at the box office within a few days of release. What does this show? The haters might seem very loud online with their disdain for the film and saying it will be an absolute box office flop, but time and time again since ABTM 1 the silent supporters will always be even louder eventually by going to the cinemas and buying tickets to show their love & support (sic).”
