We all know about the craze that went down last week when Singaporeans went to war vying for tickets to Taylor Swift’s concert next year.

The high demand meant that many were left empty handed, including this Singaporean TikToker @miss.shuaige.

While she may not be watching Tay Tay in 2024, she did get a great consolation prize from her father.

“POV: When you didn’t get tickets to the Taylor Swift concert, and papa decided to pass you another ticket for another show,” wrote Miss Shuaige, flaunting a pic of The Sheng Siong Show tickets on her TikTok slideshow.

That’s right, the ‘bai bei bai bei’ show hosted by Dasmond Koh and Kym Ng that your parents and grandparents religiously watch every weekend.

The photos which followed hilariously documented her experience watching the variety show live for the first time. Even funnier was how she likened the process to the Taylor Swift ticketing war.

She clearly enjoyed herself at The Sheng Siong Show

Like how she described the pic of her half-eaten meal as “Eating the leftovers coz these scalpers didn’t leave us any “meat” (tickets).”

Or how she likened the audience lining up to enter the studio at Mediacorp as "the queue to Singpost".

In case you're wondering, Miss Shuaige did enjoy herself at the show. “NGL the Sheng Siong Show was fun!!” she captioned her TikTok.

And yes, she did shout 'bai bei' for the lucky winner whose prize money totalled a whopping $27K.

For those who don't know, 'bai bei' 'is Mandarin for 'a hundredfold', and it's what the show’s hosts and live audience chant while rooting for the lucky winner to choose a multiplier for their prize money.

“AHHHH $27k?!!! Can you buy us TS tickets. We shouted for your bai bei damn loud,” Miss Shuaige wrote, clearly trying her luck.

The recording she attended was also the last week for Kym's stand-inDenise Camillia Tan, now that the former is back from medical leave.

It has been an eventful stint for Denise who is now known on TikTok as “Ni Shi Ta Nai Nai? (or "You’re their grandma?") after her hilarious faux pas.

Netizens got a good laugh from Miss Shuaige’s video, with one asking if she could share “how [she] got Sheng Siong tickets”.

Seems like it was a memorable experience for her after all?
