Taylor Swift’s Hair Gets Curlier Over The Course Of Her Concert Thanks To Singapore’s Humidity, She Calls It Returning To “Factory Settings”

When American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift first burst onto the scene in 2006, she was known for rocking out her thick and curly locks during live shows.

And it seems concertgoers to her first two shows in Singapore over the weekend were unexpectedly transported back to one of her earlier looks.

The singer is currently in Singapore aka the only Southeast Asian stop for her Eras tour. 

“Did her natural curls just come back?” asked this giggly writer halfway through ‘Bad Blood’.

It seems Taylor’s frizzy mane was somehow retaliating against our balmy weather as she blazed through her expansive catalogue of songs.

One fan even posted a video to TikTok hilariously chronicling Tay Tay's changing hair during her first show on Saturday (Mar 2).

Concertgoer Travis Lim, 34 hilariously captioned the video, “The curls really said let them free in Singapore”.

Netizens were quick to jump in on the topic and flooded the comments.

“Taylor’s hair gotta calm down!”, laughed a user, referencing her 2019 hit.

“Good to know even Taylor Swift’s hair cannot survive Singapore’s humidity,” read an empathetic comment.

Another user jokingly wrote, “The curls really said, “You cannot contain us!”

The video has since clocked up an impressive 3.4 million views.

In another online clip, a fan also compared Taylor’s tamer-looking locks from her shows in Japan earlier this month and jokingly asked, “What did Singapore do to Swift?”

Of course, Taylor herself probably noticed her frizzled locks early on and acknowledged it in the middle of the acoustic set of her second show on Sunday (Mar 3).

“As you can see, my hair has returned to its factory settings, thanks to the humidity here. I’m not complaining, I like it,” she joked.

“But I do want to commend you because it’s very humid and you guys have just turned it up 100 per cent all night,” she added.

“You’ve been dancing, you’ve been standing and taking pictures all night. And you look so cute, why am I sweating so much? Then I’m looking at you, you are all perfect,” Taylor said to her fans.
