Before we begin, Tay Ping Hui has a disclaimer to make: "In no way am I belittling the Singapore market. It’s just the nature of it so it can't be helped," he says during a chat with 8days.sg, where he calls the Chinese showbiz scene an “ocean” compared to Singapore's “ little pond”.
