But is he still a virgin?

Taiwan-based Local Singer Huang Jinglun Was Once So Broke, He Had Negative Balance In His Bank Account

The last time former Project Superstar alum Huang Jinglun acted in a local drama it was 2012. He had starred opposite Jeanette Aw and Zhang Zhenhuan in Ch U's Jump!, which turned out to be his acting debut. The Taiwan-based Singaporean singer is now back again to flex his acting chops on Ch 8’s latest long-form drama, Jalan Jalan, where he plays a penny-pinching Taiwanese producer. It's a character trait Jinglun is all too familiar with. "To be honest, I’m also a really thrifty person!” chuckled the singer when we met him at the imaging session for the drama. “I still take public transport to save money, but I won’t be as cheapskate as to freeload on others lah!”

The 36-year-old, who has been shuttling between Singapore and Taiwan the past 10 years, is humourous and down-to-earth. And doesn't seem to have changed much since he made his Taiwan showbiz debut in the third season of singing competition One Million Star in 2008. There, he had endeared himself to audiences with his eccentric and quirky behaviour, like how he would spew random and sometimes very cheem Chinese idioms during his interviews, and his blur-like-sotong demeanour — he had let slip on a Taiwanese variety a that he was a virgin. Oops.
