Stefanie Sun Swamped By Fans Who Couldn't Get Tickets To Her SG Concert At China Airport
As if we needed more proof just how well-loved Singaporean pop diva Stefanie Sun is in the region.
A netizen recently took to Chinese social media Xiaohongshu to share that they had just sent the 46-year-old star off at an airport in Nanjing.
"The singer who filled up half my MP3 playlist when I was a child... See you on tour next year!" gushed said netizen.
In the video posted by the netizen, Stefanie was accompanied by a few bodyguards while she made her way through a large crowd of fans, who had turned up at the airport to see her.
They trailed Stef as she walked towards the security checkpoint, and took the opportunity to profess their love for her.
Some fans, whom we assume were able to snag tickets to Stef's concert in Singapore next year, could be heard saying: "See you in Singapore!". Stef then turned back to give them a thumbs up.
The singer will launch her Aut Nihilo Sun Yanzi In Concert tour — her first tour in 10 years — at the Singapore Indoor Stadium next year. The tour is to celebrate her 25th year in showbiz.
The first two shows on April 5 and 6 were sold out within hours. Concert organiser IMC Live Global later announced that they are adding two more shows on April 12 and 13.
Stef's last concert tour, Kepler, ran from 2014 to 2015.
Not all fans were as lucky to get tix to her Singapore shows. And they let their feelings known to Stef.
"I can't go to Singapore next year and can only see you in Guangzhou. Please make sure to come here," asked one fan.
Another grumbled: "Yan Zi I didn't manage to get tickets for the Singapore show, come to Zhengzhou!"
Their requests didn't fall on deaf ears as Stef turned back to say: "Okay, see you!" before waving goodbye to her fans.
Let's hope she keeps her promise to them.
