Mamee Monster Snapped Up At Supermarkets After Stefanie Sun Gifts It To Mayday On Day 2 Concert

Did Singaporean pop diva Stefanie Sun indirectly cause a buying frenzy for Mamee Monster?

The 46-year-old made a surprise appearance on the second day of Taiwanese rock band Mayday’s Singapore stop of their 25th anniversary concert tour.

While chatting with the band’s lead singer Ashin about their 2002 duet ‘Prince Noodles’, Stefanie said she had a gift for the band, and from her one of her many pockets of her black avant-garde outfit, presented a pack of Mamee Monster to him.

Introducing it as “the Singapore version of Prince Noodles,” she says this was a  childhood favourite of hers.

“Only one pack?” Ashin asked jokingly before Stefanie brought the attention back to her outfit.

“I could fit many packs,” and pointed to her many pockets before saying, “I felt it would make me look fat, so I decided one pack is good enough.”

A quick check at the supermarket showed that a box of 40 Mamee Monster packets costs S$7.87.

Prince Noodles is from Taiwan and is enjoyed like Mamee Monster here in Singapore.

It seems fans were intrigued by Stefanie’s gift with reports of the crunchy noodle snack allegedly sold out at some places.

One netizen even took to Xiaohongshu that he had asked the staff to restock the popular snack

Guys, you know you can also order it online, right?

During the banter between Ashin and Stefanie, it was revealed that their friendship goes back years, with the former sharing that Stefanie once picked the band up in her red car and took them out for seafood.

Maybe next time, she can buy them a carton of Mamee Monster.
