Stefanie Sun Captured In Heartwarming Moment With Daughter, 7, After SG60 Homecoming Concert
Singapore pop diva Stefanie Sun took time off her Aut Nihilo: Sun Yanzi in Concert tour to perform at the SG60 Homecoming Concert at Jewel Changi Airport on August 1, where she was one of the headlining acts.
The singer thrilled fans with favourites like Against The Light and Encounter, as well as her 2002 National Day hit We Will Get There.
But for one fan, the most unforgettable moment happened after the show.
A netizen who spotted Stef leaving the mall captured a sweet interaction between the singer and her seven-year-old daughter, nicknamed Poppy.
In the clip, Stef exits the elevator to cheers from her team, then lights up when she sees Poppy, breaking into a playful dance before running over to scoop her into a hug.
Stef, who is married to humanitarian volunteer Nadim van der Ros, also has a 13-year-old son.
The video melted hearts online, with many praising Stef for staying grounded despite her fame, and that mother and daughter looked so blissful.
“Seeing this real-life moment feels so heartwarming. Stefanie is adorable, and Poppy is adorable too!” gushed a fan.
Another comment read: “Stefanie Sun is a true winner in life! She understands that real happiness is built on different pillars in life, not just a single dimension. That’s why she treats singing simply as work she loves, without the burden of being a superstar. She’s never forgotten to be herself and freely enjoys her family life with ease!”
