Shaun Chen Wants Another Kid But Says It's "Not Easy"
Also not easy? Finding time to go on date nights with his wife.
“Hi everyone, Happy Father’s Day!” greets Shaun Chen happily as he arrives at the While You Were Away press conference along with his co-stars Yvonne Lim, Ya Hui, Bryan Wong, Richard Low and Hong Huifang. He may be a couple of days early, but if there's someone who's embracing dad life, it's the 40-year-old actor.
In While You Were Away, Shaun plays an inattentive husband who thinks his family’s perfect, until his wife, played by Yvonne, falls into a coma and his life starts to fall apart. “Without my wife, it’s like I’m missing one hand,” says Shaun of his character as the rest of the cast erupts in chuckles.

What kind of people do you hope your kids grow up to be?
I hope they grow up healthy and humble. They also must be respectful to their elders, and have a likable personality. A cert may qualify you for a job, but it’s your personality that brings you far.
They may be only four and two now, but do they have any talent in which you see potential in?
Not yet! (Laughs) But the elder one loves to sing.
So she can be a star next time?
(Laughs) I hope not. (Laughs) It’s really not easy in this industry. But if they are interested next time I'll definitely support them.
