It’s now impossible to ignore the ever-growing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially after Singapore has shut its doors to countries that are hardest-hit by the virus and sent out a call for citizens to minimise travelling where possible.
Over in Europe, which is arguably the current epicentre of the COVID-19 outbreak, France has become the third EU country after Italy and Spain to be on lockdown in a bid to contain the rapid spread of the virus.
Former Mediacorp host Sharon Au, who moved to Paris in 2018, has become one of the many Singaporeans who have been affected by the lockdown, although the 44-year-old sounded as cheery and collected as ever when she spoke to 8days.sg over the phone from her home in the French city.
