Shane Pow has made his first public statement since news broke almost two weeks ago on April 22 that he's facing his second drink driving charge.

His contract with Mediacorp was officially terminated yesterday (May 4), after he finished shooting the last of his scenes for upcoming long-form drama The Heartland Hero. Shane, who has filmed 31 episodes of the 130-episode series, will be replaced by James Seah for the rest of the show.

Shane, 30, wrote a lengthy caption on Instagram earlier today (May 5) apologising for his actions.
