Someone needs to turn this into a drama.

This may sound like something that was lifted straight out of a drama, but it’s absolutely real.

In a recent interview with Chinese newspaper Shin Min Daily News, local actor Ryan Lian, 36, who’s best known for his role in Ah Boys To Men 4 and the Long Long Time Ago series, revealed that he has a younger brother, who was given away at birth.

Ryan and his younger brother, Kevin Soh, eventually reunited in 2014, after a couple of missed connections. They had been separated for 28 years.

Kevin, who’s a year younger than Ryan, is a Nanyang Technological University graduate, with a degree in mechanical engineering. He currently works in marketing and is happily married with kids.

Meanwhile, Ryan worked as a martial arts coach before entering showbiz.

After 17 years as a calefare, he met director Jack Neo, who subsequently cast him in his hit movies. However, as the pandemic has led to a dearth in acting projects, Ryan branched out into live stream sales with his non-celeb girlfriend.
