Rui En Mourns Death Of Grandmother Days After Losing Her Cat

It has been an especially painful week for Rui En.

Just days after mourning the loss of her very first cat Muffin, an SPCA rescue, the local actress shared that her maternal grandmother has also passed away.

The two losses came in quick succession, unfolding against the backdrop of escalating US-Israel war with Iran, making the past few days particularly heavy.

In an Instagram post, Rui En, 45, reflected on the emotional weight she has been carrying: “The past week has been heavy. Muffin, the war, finally capped off by my maternal granny passing.”

“I know I can feel the full weight of this grief, and not break. I can mourn, and not collapse. why? because I. already. did. many times over. but thru it all, I learnt that while emotions can be signal fires, they do not have to control you (sic).”

Rui En had previously shared that her paternal grandparents had passed away years ago. With her grandmother’s passing, she now bids farewell to yet another beloved member of her family.
